How It Started

Habitude Paper Co. started as a passion project back in 2017. After graduating with a degree in Visual Communications Design and having a hard time finding a job right out of school, I decided to open an Etsy shop to start selling my cards and prints that featured my personal art and handcrafted products while also selling my products at local craft shows and fairs in the Seattle area.

Design Style

My design style has evolved over the years beginning with my first line of cards that featured mostly text based designs that grew out of my love for layout + typography.

As I’ve gotten older, my design style has evolved to reflect my core values in making art that is relatable, funny, and feels whimsical either through the illustration or the “imperfectly perfect” hand-lettering.

Inspiration

I find most of my inspiration from real experiences I’ve had that are either down right funny to the worst moments when all I wanted was just hug to get through the bad times.

As someone who has struggled with mental health for years and has developed strong coping skills through mindfulness, witchy habits, fall camping, and using humor to make even the worst situations more light-hearted feeling, I hope that my products offer encouragement, motivation and connection to the people that matter most to you.
